Some locals recommended this place to us while we were visiting. We ordered the lobster ravioli, linguine with clam sauce and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Lobster ravioli was delish and was thickly stuffed with lobster. The linguine with clam sauce was also tasty with plenty of clams. My husband commented that the Alfredo sauce was only mediocre. The bread they served was piping hot with steam; however, I don't think they were freshly made. It tasted like it was possibly day old (or store bought) bread that they might have just microwaved. Makes me wonder about the rest of the food served....

We went there with a big group of about 15 people, out of that 6 got food poisoning, never again.

No garlic bread??? Just plain bread. Got the special egg plant parmigiana that's what I got just a square on the plate. No pasta with it. Very disappointed

It is our second time and we love the place. Lasagna was perfect and the service was amazing.

Dolce is one of my favorite places to go to for Italian food! It has a sort of authentic Italian feel when you go in and everybody is extremely polite and on top of things. And to the plus side, you get free bread when you wait for your meal! Our favorite servers are usually Monique and Chad as they're always cheerful and willing to serve us. My favorite appetizers are the calamari and the Thai shrimp! As far as entrees, I always order the shrimp scampi and it's perfect every time. If you're feeling pizza then I definitely recommend the margherita pizza. Their cheesecake is always amazing if I feel like I have enough room left for it! So all in all, I would definitely recommend this place to anybody I meet.

Just an update, do like this place the food is decent atmosphere is good and overall will go back. Here is my issue, took my mom here for her birthday August 29 or yesterday for those checking had a great meal, server heard us talking about her birthday said happy birthday then to our surprise brought her out a birthday desert it was tasty and made her extremely happy My problem was got hit for desert charge on the bill only 5 bucks but we did not order it why charge for it. Anyhow just wanted to vent

The food was good, and the service excellent. I ordered the veal marsala with angel hair pasta, which was presented in an appealing way on the plate, and included an abundance of quartered mushrooms with the sauce. I do wish they had a larger selection on their menu, but I enjoyed the meal I chose. The reason I gave it three stars is because although the food was good, I couldn't find anything on the menu that I really wanted, so I settled for the veal marsala.

Risotto Balls are bomb.com . They don't always have them so call ahead and check. They run $8 for 2 but they're decently sized and totally worth it. Good deal for the special when we went, $27 for the 8oz Filet Mignon and 3 Lobster raviolis. Steak was cooked great but the lobster ravioli was not that good - Other reviews seem to like it though. The water is also Fantastic! But that could be because we're in the sun all day in the desert. Best deal is the Pizza! They're huge, delicious, and reasonably priced.

We went for the first time for my fiance's birthday! We enjoyed it sooo much, we were sad that we had been missing out all this time :( First off, the bread and butter that they bring to the table is fantastic. Right away we ordered a sampler app with the chicken skewers, deep fried ravioli and spinach dip. All were amazing and left us wanting more! The salads and dressings were both very fresh, plentiful and tasty! Then finally, the main course. I had the meat lasagna and he had the Manicotti. He ate every last bite of it and the lasagna was huge in portion, enough so that we both had for leftovers the next night, lol! The service was great and the cooks definitely knew there way around the kitchen. You can see them back there working. Great job everyone! We will be back very soon!

This restaurant gets better than best. They have live music, Cameron Marin. His music is amazing. I have actually began to plan my visits to this restaurant on the days Cameron plays. This week, I actually went yesterday (had gnocci, OMG good) and I had to come back again tonight just to hear Cameron. (I had Italian sausage and peppers, wine, bruchetta). The food is always fantastic. Paired with music by Cameron, this is the place to be!!

Dessert was fabulous as well. We tried the tiramisu, salted caramel gelato, Spumante and the dolce donuts. The last of which was HUGE!

My boyfriend and I were looking for some take out Italian food around town and decided to go with this place based on reviews. Everything we ordered was pretty good and I'm happy we stopped here. Chicken piccata- always my favorite because it's usually not heavy and their chicken piccata over angel hair pasta with capers didn't disappoint. Lobster ravioli- my boyfriend ordered this and ate all of it so I can assume he has no complaints. Appetizer sampler- they give you a handful of options and you get to choose 3. Not all the appetizers are there to choose from but we went with the hummus and pita bread, fried ravioli, and jalapeño poppers. I have to say this was a disappointment. The price was way too high ($11) for what we got. 3 poppers, 2 ravioli, and a huge heap of hummus with small squares of pita bread. I had a bite of the popper and fried ravioli and couldn't eat any more of it. The hummus is very good but that doesn't come close to justifying the price. My biggest issue is that the server taking my to go order suggested I add a salad to my order for only $2 more and then didn't give it to me. Overall I would eat here again but I certainly won't be getting the sampler appetizer and will check my order before I leave.

They have the absolute best lobster ravioli! It is a must have, the bread that is served for starters has a great garlic butter. Our waitress was witty and quick to get everything taken care of. The prices are reasonable, I had an order of the linguini clams that I could do without, but overall a good experience.

My family dropped in the first time waiting for a movie at Movies Havasu. The place was full but we were seated in the lounge. Since then the lounge has become our favorite place to eat! Robbie, the owner is always on the floor, making sure everything is good and looking over every plate. I had the Salmon my wife, the sea bass. Next time in was the Lobster Ravioli. Great wine selections and not bad prices at all. This place is now on our weekly visit list. We also enjoy this as one of our "dine around" places. Let me explain... we start with apps and wine at La Vita. Then we are off to the next place for entree and wine. Then one last place for dessert and wine. After that a phone call to my teenage son to come drive us home.

OMG the food was amazing. Try the chicken Marella or the Salmon Wellington. We were stuffed but still had to try desert. Will have a food coma later but loved it. Atmosphere was one you could kick back relax and be yourself. After a long and I mean Long day of work this meal became the highlight of our evening. Will be coming back again.....oh and the wine..... well one glass is never enough

The bread and garlic butter they give you is so good. Bread is soft and yummy! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was really good probably the best I've had ever, the sauce is the best. Husband had lasagna and he said it was good as well. We will definitely be coming back.

First time I went there was right after the place opened and I asked the owner if he was looking for entertainment for the bar area which they did have, he was very rude and erigant and basically told me if I wasn't there to eat or drink I should move on. Several months later I went there for a birthday party dinner The prices are fair but I noticed some of the portions are very small. I had the chicken marsela. ..it tasted good but was floating in a watery juice. The chicken was battered so it was really a soggy mess . I guess there was too much water still left in the pasta when served. Service was great I tasted others food I wasn't overly impressed

A family style Italian restauant that gets it right. Great specials, the menus is priced right. The service is top notch. The food is as good as the service. From veal parmesan ,lobster ravoili to there homemade meat balls and marina are fantastic. The minestrone soup was outstanding. Great bread with garlic butter to start your meal, be careful not to fill up on the bread. I can't wait to try the pizza next time. Another restaurant to go in my Havasu rotation.

We were looking for somewhere different for dinner while on a little trip to Havasu and were not disappointed! When we walked in there was some live music which was nice and we were promptly seated in a booth. Our waiter (I believe his name was Chad) did a great job of keeping our water full and even brought out a little pitcher as my hubby was drinking tons. I had been really looking forward to the gnocchi and it met all of my expectations and more! So delicious! My hubby ordered spaghetti and meatballs and loved it as well. The bread and butter they brought out before the food was great as well! Robbie, the owner, stopped by our table to check on us and ended up sitting and chatting. Such a great place with a fun atmosphere. We cannot wait to come back and try more items on the menu! Finally a nice date night place in Havasu with great food and delicious sounding drinks we can't wait to try next time.

What an incredible restaurant. I can't stress enough how great of an experience me and my friends had. The owner, Robby, came up to us within 5 minutes of us sitting and genuinely asked how we were and what we we up to. Then he and the server helped pick out perfect bottles of wine for us. Then another server, the owners brother (and a former professional baseball player) came by and said hello as well. Everyone was ridiculously friendly! The owner then came back and helped us pick perfect dishes for ourselves. I had the steak special and it was just as good as any steak in a prestigious steakhouse for only 34 bucks. Cooked to perfection. Robby let us try samples of multiple dishes and wines. He even shared a bottle of wine with us that wasn't on the menu. We were planning to go out and party but instead ended up hanging out with the owner and listening to amazing live acoustic for hours. You have to come to this restaurant. Have an open heart and be friendly, and the positive energy can spread along the whole staff. This is the second review I have ever written and hopefully that carries some weight on how awesome this place is.

Great little Gem in Lake Havasu. Great food and drinks and the service was very good. The salad was to die for and the filet and lobster was excellent. It appears they have a take out pizza option too. Going to have to try that next time after a long day on the river. Thanks Mr. Smith for the great service.

We have eaten here on several occasions but we we're very disappointed for my birthday dinner tonight. When we arrived no one acknowledged us for a while, several servers just walked on by without saying a word. Finally someone came and cleaned a table for us. Our server, Laura, took our order, never offered bread, and never once asked us how everything was. The food was served promptly but was warm, not hot. When we walked out Laura looked right at us and never said a word.

Next time I visit here I will be stopping by here again. The food was yummy the drinks were delicious and the service was friendly what more could you ask for! I had the chicken parm and my date had the rack of lamb. The lamb seemed small but it was still good.

This place is horrible. I've been twice once received food poisoning and while eating the lobster ravioli I commented to the owner, this doesn't taste right. To which he replied " I can't control how those taste they are ordered in frozen. On the second time my fiancé and I ordered the spinach artichoke dip. The appetizer tasted funny and was crunchy, so I pushed it aside was just going to ignore it. The waiter came over and we discussed it and he said he would remove it from the order. I thank him and said it wasn't needed but he said it would be ok. The owner then came over with his outdated jerry curl mullet and told us that the dip was fine and its supposed to be crunchy. All while practically standing in my fiancé's lap. My fiancé was so off put that she left and went out to our vehicle. I asked to get our food to go and was met with even more rudeness. I will give any place two chances cause we all know places make mistakes. So I say stay far away from this place. Also the food that we took home was pretty weak. Sauce was bland and the chicken over cooked.

My Italian husband loves this place, and so does his German wife! Great food, great price...and do yourself a favor and eat in the bar. If you're lucky, Randy will be your bartender/waiter. He's a one man show!! Also, look closely at the picture of the ball player in the Phillies uniform....look familiar?

  • Mark K.

Perhaps the rudest and most discriminating service I have ever experienced. I came there to dine alone and was told by the hostess, "Well, usually we would put someone like you in the bar, but it's kind of full. The wait for other guests is long. Why don't you take something to go?" By "someone like me" was she referring toe dining alone or my disability? Either way, she made it quit clear that neither single nor disabled patrons are welcomed. I told her it's obvious they prefer "us people" to not dine there and left. UNBELIEVABLE!!! It gets more unbelievable... As I left she turned to someone sitting in the waiting area an laughed! RUDE!!!!! TO THE MANAGEMENT: you can be assured that I will share this experience with my many friends, family, and business associates in the area acquired from my 32 years of being a part of the Lake Havasu Community.

Everything about this restaurant was great! The service was awesome. The food was the best Italian I've ever had. The ambiance was fun. They had live music which made you feel like you were in Italy. Everyone in our party (7 people) raved about their food. I will definitely be back and will also be recommending la dolce vita to friends and family!

La Vita Dolce was recommended by a friend of ours, so we decided one night to give it a try. Boy are we very glad we did! Fortunately they had a special carrot ginger soup that just amazed my palette and I have since asked my husband to attempt to duplicate it. I believe it was the best soup I have ever tasted. We have been two-three times, one night a wonderful musician playing a small sax was entertaining the diners and we enjoyed that very much! The food has never disappointed, my husband is very particular especially when it comes to his seafood and he has now, twice, ordered the seafood dish (I apologize but I do not remember the name) that is similar to a fisherman's stew, over linguine with the lighter sauce. Plate is licked clean every time, except the leftover clam shells and shrimp tails. I have even tried their Gluten-Free ravioli and I wouldn't have known they were if I didn't order them off the menu that way. We have always been seated right away, and the service is friendly and quick. A must try for Havasu!!

Service was exceptional, food was hot and delicious. We ordered the fried ravioli and jalapeño poppers appetizer, lasagna, and pizza. All were delicious, btw the pizza is one size (large) so I suggest one for 2-3 people. Needless to say we had lotsa leftovers, lol...its ok we were def satisfied!

I went there on a Monday night which I guess is on off night, since the place was rather empty. The food was good, not great. The service on the other hand was overbearing. We no sooner sat down and was asked if we were ready to order. Every two minutes someone interrupted our conversation to ask if everything was ok. We really felt rushed.

I came here with my family earlier this summer. I really enjoyed the food. It came out pretty quick and the service was alright, but the place was busy so I expected to have a little wait. We were sat next to some live music, which was pretty loud, but it seemed like the only table they had available. I wish they had asked us if we wanted to wait because I might have done that since I had a 10 month old who was sensitive to the volume of the speaker that was right next to our table. We also had to yell to be heard for most of our meal. Besides that, the music was actually a fun aspect of the meal and my husband was entertained. I just wish we were seated some where else so we could enjoy it better. Despite that, it was an overall pleasant experience When we come back to the area we will visit again!

Having recently relocated, our friends suggested this place especially since my husband is an Italian National. He said it was like taking a Mexican to taco time. The food was bland and frozen, furthest thing from authentic that you could get - nothing fresh. Decent bar atmosphere.

We had passed this restaurant several times and finally stopped in after reading Yelp reviews. So glad we did. We had a wonderful dinner experience on our last night in Lake Havasu. We ordered the fried mozzarella, salads for all, 2 pizzas, lasagna, spaghetti w/meatballs, veal parmesan, and one combo plate. Everything was really good. Not one complaint. Our waiter, Patrick was very friendly and attentive. This is definitely added as one if our go to dinner spots!

Over the past 20 years I have probably visited Lake Havasu City to visit family more than 100 times. One of my memories of our first visits was how bad the restaurants were. They tried hard, but the food was marginal at best and the décor was pretty rough. On recent trips however, I have noticed a positive change and not from corporate food chains. These are smaller, family owned places that provide good to great food and quality service. We made a Father's Day visit and took Dad to his favorite restaurant, La Vita Dolce. We were pretty impressed. My father in law is recovering from some health issues and they treat him like a King - very accommodating and friendly. Big thanks for that. Sons and daughters of the owners came over to greet us, very warm and welcoming. In addition, the staff was all dressed nicely, very professional and classic in appearance as befitting a place serving classic Italian cuisine and that is something I find liked, especially in Lake Havasu, which is such a mega-casual place. Our server, Eric, was very informative, helpful and has a great sense of humor. The place has a bar on one side (which was sounding pretty loud and fun on this Saturday night) and nice sized dining room on the other. The food was wonderful! Great salads - the blue cheese dressing is one of the best I've had. I had the "Dolce Trio", which was a pesto Gnocchi, spaghetti with pomodoro sauce and ravioli and all were amazingly good. My wife loves fettuccini Alfredo but is usually disappointed when she orders it. She really enjoyed her serving here - far more than she could eat. I look forward to our next visit and another wonderful meal at La Vita Dolce.

  • Daniel M.

Dolce sat our party of 5 immediately and was helpful the whole way. Great service, friendly staff, owner came up to us and asked how everything was. We really felt like VIP's. Also, there was live music because it was a Sunday evening. Everyone was happy with their meal. I ordered the filet and lobster ravioli, which was amazing. The only suggestion I have is to decline the ground pepper because it came out too course. I also forgot my hat there, and the owner personally ran it out to me at our car. What a great guy! Stop searching for a place to eat and check this place out. The most expensive thing on the menu is $26, and an average entree is about $10-$15, so this place won't hurt your wallet either.

Now I know where to come to have a delicious meal while visiting Lake Havasu! I have a severe gluten allergy and finding restaurants I can safely eat is almost impossible! I had the gluten free cheese lasagna, which was amazing! I pretty much licked the plate clean! My husband had the mahi mahi with asparagus and risotto. He said it was the best Mahi Mahi he's ever had!! My son and his wife had pizza. Oh and my husband had the triple chocolate mousse for dessert, he did lick the plate clean! Our bill came to $73. For all the food we had. I think was pretty cheap for four adults and a few drinks. Definitely will be back!

  • Ryan F.

Seriously, best food in Havasu. We have been here many times and tried almost everything on the menu, not one bad meal yet! Prices are good for the quality of food, and they can cater to anyone with food allergies! Best gluten free dishes I've ever had. Pizza is good too!

  • J H.

Courteous service, not a long wait. Wide variety on menu. Reasonable prices. Food came out as ordered, though the Chicken Parmesan didn't have melted cheese. It came out as plain chicken with some powdered cheese sprinkled on top. That was our only complaint. We'll be back.

    Great service, great food. My family went to eat here over the Fourth of July holiday. Made reservations, walked in a bit early, and sat right down. Food portions were hearty, several of us split meals while adding a soup/salad and we walked out of there more than sated. The lobster bisque was the highlight, while one of us was less than impressed with the chicken Adolfo. Maybe avoid that dish. ;~}

2nd visit this week, came in for the Pasta Marinara special, of course was craving the warm bread and garlic butter, yummy. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, amazing! Next time I'll order 2 mushroom appetizers, they are that good! The Pasta was perfect, loved the marinara sauce and large portions, it was all you can eat special, and as good as it was I could only eat one helping, along with my dinner companions. This Place is a Winner!

I'm due to write a scathing review of a local culinary disaster, this isn't it. I think what bothers me about reviewing anything, in a forum where my opinion might matter, is that I have so little qualification. My pallet is a toxic waste land, all manner of loathsome habits make mine an unreliable conclusion. I just ate a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken.......right out the can. I'm not especially proud of it, seemed like the right thing to do at the time. It was astoundingly unpleasant, especially toward the bottom. I just thought you should know where I'm coming from. Anyways, this isn't the scathing review, check back in a couple of days. I'll get pissed at something and bang it out. The reason it matters is that, Dolce' does such a superior job, comparitively (and maybe even objectively). So when I get absolute shit on a plate at an otherwise nicely done bistro, I go running back to them, it helps me recover. Not one time have they brought anything to my table that wasn't done right. Cream of Chicken notwithstanding.

I do go there a bit, food is so-so, service varies from time to time. Because the waiter messed up our order a few weeks ago he said " next time you are in I will get you a complementary bruschetta" Cool, we got that, an antipasto and a spaghetti. Seems like bruschetta should be more interesting than salsa-on-toast, but it wasn't. Antipasto came with no dressing....and when the check came the bruschetta was a charge...get it together guys....

    (2)
  • Irwin A.

If you want really good food, friendly and attentive service, La Vita Dolce is the place to go. We started with the Bruschetta which was very good. I was tempted to order the filet mignon in a demi-glace with lobster ravioli but I "settled" for the Chicken Marsala instead. I couldn't have been any happier. The Marsala sauce was excellent! My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana that she also enjoyed very much. I'd definitely would love to come back.

A friend from high school was performing here over the holidays so all my friends decided to check it out. Holy crap was this place PACKED! There was barely any seating and we had to steal chairs to scrap together enough space for the six of us. My friends who arrived earlier had already polished off a BBQ chicken pizza - which looked good. My husband decided to order dessert with a tall glass of milk. (Yeah, ordering milk at a restaurant, who does that? My husband and his father.) The dessert sounded good on paper but was terrible. It was pizza dough "twists" deep fried and then dunked in cinnamon sugar. Even with the sugar, it tasted like pizza dough. I wasn't a big fan and kept trying to give it away. Our waiter was really nice though and kept filling up our glasses and asking if we needed anything. It was nice that he was super attentive and friendly. We haven't been back since that night, but with all the good reviews I'm hoping to try some of their other menu items.

More than we expected! We went in, using a Monday coupon. Free appetizer and two entrees for $20.00. Service was very nice, from the hostess to the young lady who brought our wine. We both ordered spaghetti bowls, hubby had meatballs and I had meat sauce. The flavors were wonderful, portions were generous but not too much! The bruchetta was very good. The atmosphere was perfect. No loud crowds in a echo filled room! Music could be heard in the background. This is so worth your time! We will definitely go again!

The pizza and service are both good. I loved the Margherita chicken pizza. The atmosphere is chill and management is very good. We had a problem with a pizza that we ordered and when calling in the manager refunded us apologizing. Just because of him we will be returning. Thank you!

Service was outstanding, food was soooo good. Four of us, all had something different, all was great. I had a duck special, wife had veal marsala, friends had the grilled salmon special and a pasta with italian sausage dish. Appetizers were great. Prices reasonable, atmosphere very pleasant, got seated immediately at 8 pm on a holiday weekend. Just doesn't get any better than this at Lake Havasu City.

I was in Lake Havasu City for the 1/2 marathon this past month and needed a good dinner to carbo-load the night before the race, so I went straight to good old Yelp and found this gem. This place did not disappoint. Delicious salads and pasta and a great atmosphere. I especially loved the guitarist they had the night I was there. One word: YUM.

Amazing!! My boyfriend & I came here for our 8 year anniversary and I'm so glad we did. The food was so yummy! Their bread and herb butter is very good while your waiting for your food. The best thing we ordered was the Thai Shrimp. AMAZING! The best shrimp I have ever had, I really recommend them. i could order 2 of these and just have that. The baked ziti and the cheese raviolie are FABULOUS!

We have eaten here a dozen times in the ten months we have lived in LHC, and been overjoyed each time. My bride usually has the veal parm, which she loves. They know she wants it crisp and hot, and is always happy. I skip around the menu and am never disappointed. Their bouillabaisse is always great, and I enjoyed their rack of lamb. We even had Christmas dinner here, and they handled the crowd with aplomb. We love the family owners and staff, and bring guests because we know they will love the place, the food, and the service.

This restaurant is deliciosos! Boy, what an excellent find. We visited Lakr Havasu City on Valrntine's day and wanted a really good restaurant, Which is what we got! Food was amazing....portabello stuffed raviolois so great, chicken picatta divine, pizza with excellent crust and sauce, and chicken fettuchinni Alfredo. Yum. Service good, especially for Valentine's day. So glad we went here. It's a winner and we will be back. Great ambiance in the bar at a table.

We love Italian food, I would have to say Lake Havasu now has two really good Italian options. Loved the interior, separate bar/dining area. Had entertainment on a Saturday night. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It is a keeper!

Food is very good, but very small portions and higher priced. We live here year round and are much closer to here than, Angelina's . But every time I go here, I wish we had driven further to Angelina's .

Awesome food! Awesome service! Thoroughly enjoyed my chicken Parmesan, and my husband loved his Angel Hair with meat sauce. The owner personally came over to see if they could make anything special for the kids. We'll definitely be back!

Even though their house wine is somewhat undrinkable, this place still gets 5 stars. The food is remarkable...I felt like my Italian grandmother was in the kitchen. The restaurant was busy, but the sevice was still great. Next time we are back in Havasu I will be back!

The worst overlooked pasta Ever! The Creme brûlée was a slop of custard with what was supposed to be carmalized top.

This is an AWESOME place to have Italian Food in Havasu! We went with a group of friends for dinner and all I have to say is "WOW" this place rocks! We were greeted by the owner and his daughter....right off the Bat! They were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was fantastic. Marinara sauce sauce was Fe-nominal and so was the service! NEVER had to ask for anything! The staff was very prompt to our every question and were always checking to make sure our waters were filled. They had a 1 man band who was TERRIFIC and totally set the scene and was quit nice to have live music while eating. Specials were Fenominal and the drinks were awesome as well. Hats off to the Owner for actually coming out and making sure that we were all satisfied with our meal and he is a great guy! Me and my wife look forward to having lunch and dinner here the next time we are in town!

Came in here over my Xmas break with the fam and I must say, it was a pleasant surprise. From the outside, it looked like a sport-type bar & grill but inside it was a charming romantic restaurant. We ordered a peperoni pizza and the BBQ chicken pizza. The peperoni pizza was less than average (you could get better @ pizza hut across the street) but the BBQ chicken pizza was its Yelp Review Lifesaver! So the pizza was super juicy, to the point that my family called it "soggy", but for some reason it worked for me. My 4 stars are for this pizza. You also can't go wrong with a place that greets you with a heaping portion of bread with butter ...LOVE IT!

Excellent food!! I can't imagine why they are not listed on YELP yet, but if you are in Lake Havasu City this place is a must do!!!

5 stars is not enough!!! The food here ROCKS!! Owner is very nice and helpful. Staff is great. Chefs are amazing!!! I try something new almost every visit and I love each and every entree. The lobster ravioli, pizza, chicken piccata, salads, basil martini are all my favorites!! Oh and the homemade chunky blue cheese dressing is off the charts! Oh I want to go there now!!

The best Italian food in Havasu by far. And a hands-on owner/chef who takes the time to personally greet his patrons and make you feel welcome. My adult children and I frequent his place at least two times a week when they are in town. Try their butternut squash ravioli and the grilled shrimp risotto - OUTSTANDING! Always an interesting choice of music to listen to and a few nights a week they even have live music, love it!

This was our first time at La Vita Dolce and we will be back. The meat lasagna special was wonderful; prepared with the tiny meatballs in a wonderful red Itallian "gravy." You hardly ever see this any more. The pesto gnocchi was outstanding as was the service. The pomodoro sauce on spaghetti was nice and garlicy. This little gem would rate 5 stars but for the Alfredo sauce which was a bit bland...lacking a bold Parmesan flavor.

Really disappointed in their customer service. My friend & I were waiting to be seated along with another couple who was waiting as well. We were told 5 minutes by the waitress. Another couple walked in to the bar & then came back to the waitress and said they would like a table because the bar was full. An employee walked by who made it quit obvious they knew each other and next thing we knew they were being seated before us and the other couple waiting. Oh well.....Angelina's is better anyway ;-)

By far one of my favorite places ever. My hubby's family is Italian so we tend to love and be picky about good Italian food. First time we ate there we thought the portions were a but small, but by the time we'd finished eating we were full and satisfied. Everything that we have had there is fabulous. We love the Dolce Trifecta and the calimari is SO good. Desserts are decadent. Definitely recommend.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
